- MEDsan® SARS-CoV-2 Double Gene RT PCR for sample analysis in combination with the SARS-CoV-2 MEDsan transfer set.
- The MEDsan® SARS-CoV-2 Double Gene RT PCR targets two distinct gene regions that are not yet mutated (conserved) in all known SARS-CoV-2 variants. Therefore, it is very likely that possible future variants will be detected.
Specimen collections: nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, combined naso- and oropharyngeal; oral or saliva swab, anterior nasal swab, and nasal swab of middle turbinate.
Safe handling: Transfer and extraction solution inactivates the virus within 5 minutes, so there is no risk of infection! Longer shelf life: 7 days at -15° to 25° or 2° to 8°.
